La industria porcina cuenta con dos técnicas principales de inseminación artificial (AI) disponibles en condiciones de campo: La convencional (CAI) y la post-cervical (PCAI). Debido a su lugar de deposición del semen, la PCAI se ha considerado una mejora en la AI, ya que permite un menor volumen y concentración espermática, manteniendo una eficiencia reproductiva similar a la de la CAI.
Revisión de la técnica: Tras realizar la detección del celo, identificar a las cerdas y seguir las recomendaciones para la PCAI.
Atención:
1. Tenga paciencia si una cerda joven o cerda no acepta la sonda interior. No fuerce la introducción de la sonda interior cuando sienta resistencia…
2. Si la hembra sigue sin aceptarlo, inseminar sólo con la sonda exterior (convencional) y utilizar dos dosis de semen PCAI.
